Creamy Honey Uji

Ingredients
  • tablespoons of AMAIZE premium sifted maize meal
  • 1 1/2 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup of plain yoghurt
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • tablespoons of honey
Directions
  1. Put some water in your sufuria and bring it to a boil. As that is going on, mix your AMAIZE with a small amount of water in a small cup until it forms a thick paste. Add this to the boiling water and mix.
  2. As you are mixing, pour in your plain yoghurt. Do not stop mixing.
  3. Add in the honey and mix some more until it all thickens.
  4. After that, add the lemon and mix it. Lower the heat and let this cook for about 20 minutes.
  5. Ladle the porridge into a bowl and garnish with some of the remaining yoghurt. Using a small-spoon, put small drops on the surface in a spiral on the surface. Take a toothpick and form streaks by running it through the drops.
  6. Serve with fresh bread.
